Aleph Tav: Hebrew Grammar or Secret Code?
A popular teaching within parts of Messianic Judaism claims that the Hebrew direct object marker **אֵת (*’et*)**, composed of Aleph and Tav, is a hidden reference to Yeishua and evidence that he is The Almighty. This study examines that claim using Biblical Hebrew grammar, the consistent use of אֵת throughout the Tanakh, and the context of Revelation 1:8. It demonstrates that אֵת is an ordinary grammatical particle rather than a concealed Messianic code, and that Revelation identifies the speaker of “I am the Alpha and the Omega” as **the Lord God, the Almighty**, not Yeishua.
