Truth Does Not Need Bad History

This article examines Alexander Hislop’s *The Two Babylons*, Richard Rives’s *Too Long in the Sun*, and Lew White’s *Fossilized Customs*. Although these books raise legitimate questions about traditions inherited from Catholicism and Protestant Christianity, they frequently rely upon speculative etymology, selective quotations, historical anachronisms, and unsupported claims of pagan origins. Biblical truth must be defended with accurate history because truth does not need exaggeration or misinformation.
