Who Has the Right to Correct?
Congregational authority carries both responsibility and limits. This article examines the need for clearly defined halakhah, the difference between Torah commands and personal preferences, the proper role of leaders in correction and discipline, and the responsibility to protect members from inappropriate behavior. It also explores biblical steps toward reconciliation, restoration, and, when necessary, temporarily removing a persistently divisive person from the assembly.
